Creative and Reflective Work
I'm a musician and composer, a playwright and director, a producer, a photographer, and a writer. In the months ahead, this is where that work will live.
The Work
I've composed and produced music, from single songs to full albums. I've written plays and musicals, and directed and produced them for the stage. I've written essays, spent a lot of hours in recording studios, and helped build creative organizations. I studied music theory and composition, and I still think like a composer, listening for how the parts fit together.
Over time, this section will include finished pieces alongside work that's still in progress:
- Music and the stories behind the songs
- Plays, musicals, and scenes
- Photography and photo essays
- Personal reflections
- Notes on the creative process
- New projects
It'll be more personal than the rest of the site.
Thoughts Podcast (2020)
In 2020, I joined host Benjamin Reese for THOUGHTS: Theological Considerations during COVID, an eight-episode series exploring loneliness, hope, imagination, community, and the pressures of the pandemic through theological reflection. These recordings are part of my earlier work, separate from the Thoughts essays published on this site today.
A Note From Me
Writing is where I work through what I'm noticing and feeling. I take something I've observed, put it into a story, and see what I find.
What I always hope is that the story starts a conversation. That's why I'm putting this work here.
If something you find on these pages stays with you, I'd love to hear what it brought up.
